Privacy Policy
Your information, plainly.
Effective June 10, 2026. On Paper is built by Reclaimed Ventures LLC, Conway, Arkansas.
The short version
We collect the minimum we need to remind you about your obligations. Your data is isolated so no other user can reach it. We never sell it. We never voluntarily share it with parole officers, courts, or any third party. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from Settings.
What we collect
Your email address (to sign you in), your name and phone number if you provide them (to send reminders), your timezone and notification preferences, the supervision documents you upload and the conditions extracted from them, key dates you enter (like a sentencing date), your daily check-ins, your conversations with the assistant, and a log of the reminders we send you. We also keep basic usage counts to prevent abuse of the service.
How we use it
One purpose: keeping you on schedule with your conditions of supervision. We parse your document to build your obligation list, we send reminders before deadlines, and we use your conditions to answer your questions inside the app. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell it to anyone, ever.
How it is protected
On Paper protects your information with several layers of security. Every user's data is isolated with row-level security, so no user can ever reach another user's records. Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. All document parsing happens on secure servers, never in your browser, and our AI keys are never exposed. We collect the minimum data needed to do the job. We never sell your data, and we never share it with parole officers, courts, or any third party.
The services that help us run
We use a small set of providers to operate: Supabase (database and sign-in), Anthropic (reads your uploaded document and powers the assistant, on our servers), Twilio (sends SMS), Resend (sends email), Vercel (hosting), and Plausible (privacy-first analytics with no cookies and no personal tracking). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.
Legal process, honestly
We will never volunteer your information to supervision officers, prosecutors, or courts. But like any US company, we can be legally compelled by a valid subpoena, warrant, or court order. If that happens, we will demand proper legal process, narrow the request where we can, and notify you unless a court forbids us from doing so. Think about this before storing anything in the app beyond what your conditions require.
Text messages
SMS reminders only go to a phone number you have verified with a code. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, and you can turn SMS off in Settings at any time.
How long we keep things
For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account in Settings, your profile, documents, conditions, schedule, check-ins, conversations, and notification history are permanently deleted right away. Backups held by our database provider age out on their schedule, typically within 30 days.
Your rights
You can see everything we hold about you inside the app. You can correct it in Settings. You can delete all of it by closing your account. You can opt out of any notification channel. If you want a copy of your data or have any question, email james@onpaperapp.com and a human will answer.
Age
On Paper is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
Changes
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we will tell you in the app and by email before the change takes effect.
